Mount St. Mary’s is a 175-bed community hospital in Lewiston, New York. The hospital implemented the EmStar program featuring the latest in Emergency Department design and technology. The ED has 14 patient treatment rooms; dedicated monitored treatment rooms; a central nurses’ station that allows for enhanced patient visibility; a diagnostic imaging (x-ray) suite in the EmStar unit for more timely diagnostic information; and a specially trained EmStar team of health care professionals care for patients.
